Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Author who will submit the manuscript to Sinergi Berkarya: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat should follow the following guidelines.

  1. The manuscript that will be sent to Sinergi Berkarya: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat is an unpublished article to another journal and an author's original work (not the result of plagiarism).
  2. The manuscript is the result of community service that is in accordance with the focus and scope of Sinergi Berkarya: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat.
  3. The manuscript consists of title, author's name accompanied by the the affiliated institution name and the email correspondence, abstract, introduction, method, result and discussion, conclusion, and bibliography.
  4. The title must be clear, concise and representative of the manuscript's content and written in Indonesian and English.
  5. The abstract contains a maximum of 200 words and consists of only one paragraph that contains the objective, method and result. The abstract is accompanied by representative keywords. Both are written in Indonesian and English.
  6. The introduction contains the background, rationality and/or urgency and objectives of community service. The introduction is written narratively in several paragraphs. Source citations clearly indicate the author's name and year of publication.
  7. The method contains the type, time, place, target, subject, procedure, instrument, data analysis technique, and other matters related to the method of community service. If there are sequential procedures or steps, they can be notated (numbers or letters) according to their position.
  8. The results and discussion are a unity that explains the data from a community service (the discussion is written attached to the data being discussed) and focuses on the data obtained in answering the objectives of community service or can also answer the question of why the facts found as in the data.
  9. The conclusion is a finding that can be generalised in accordance with the problem/objective of community service, and or it can also be a recommendation for the next step.
  10. The bibliography is written according to APA standard using a reference application, such as Mendeley, Zotero or Endnote. The example of citing a bibliography is listed in the Sinergi Berkarya: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat template.
  11. The manuscript is typed using Times New Roman-12 font, single space between lines, and in two columns (except abstract). The page layout is as follows: top margin 3 cm; bottom margin 2.5 cm; left margin 3 cm; right margin 3 cm; header from the top 2 cm; footer from the bottom 1.25 cm; and spacing between columns 1 cm.
  12. The manuscript that submitted to Sinergi Berkarya: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat will be reviewed by reviewers in blind peer-review for the feasibility assessment of article publication.
